About the Travellers

2017-02-21 at 10.52 AM

We are Clay and Wendy, adventurers exploring the US and Canada — on the road, full-time.  Join us as we post about our travels.

We are proud to say, we are retired as of December 2017.  We had planned to work more and retire later, but we were just having too much fun.  So with some frugal living we became free while still in our 50’s.

What did we do before we retired?  Hmm.  Does it really matter?  Sometimes when people ask us what we did for a living we like to have a little fun.  On occasion we tell them we’re in the witness protection program.  Then we’ll look around nervously and say, “Well, I guess we’ll have to move again.”  Other times we tell them we’re retired spies.

In fact, Clay had a career in the financial industry and Wendy was  an Ear, Nose & Throat surgeon.   We enjoyed our work, had wonderful experiences with some really great co-workers, clients and patients.

Now we’re on the road full-time, enjoying the next chapter in our lives.  Every day is a low-stress great adventure.

  1. Wow, I love your blog. I am looking forward to following you and Wendy in your travels. I worked in the ER and met Wendy there. I wish you both the very best and happy safe travels.

  2. Hello there! I found your site while searching for information about serving a mission in the Wyoming trails mission. It was so fun to read your posts from 2016. We have been called to serve starting next April. We have questions for you. I feel like we have met some like-minded souls. We have recently retired and are having adventures in our RV. The last 5 weeks have been magical as we explored the Pacific Northwest region. Where are you now? Please reach out by email when you can.
